Cutie Boo - A Halloween Celebration

We like to have fun when it comes to all holidays and events at Ryan & Rose! Whether it’s Christmas, birthdays, or anniversaries, we like to try to celebrate in a big way. Halloween is no different, and Lindsey knew we had to make our first Halloween at HQ a week to remember!

The week of Halloween, the entire in-house staff dressed up each day. This is something employees having been doing for the last 2 years and everyone was so excited to continue the tradition!

MONDAY: 901 DAY

TUESDAY: FAVORITE KIDS MOVIE DAY

WEDNESDAY: DISNEY DAY

THURSDAY: CUTIE DAY

FRIDAY: CUTIE BOO

This year Ryan & Rose was supposed to attend multiple Modern Baby Markets. This was an opportunity for Lindsey to travel the US, visit 6 different cities, and meet our loyal customers! However, d
ue to COVID-19, we were notified that all of the planned markets would need to be cancelled. While we were all bummed by the news, we knew it was for the best. Since those events were canceled, Lindsey wanted to give customers something to look forward to. Lindsey thought long and hard about what we could do at HQ and Cutie Boo was born!

Cutie Boo was an event organized by Bret, Lindsey, and the Ryan & Rose team. This event gave the Cutie Community the opportunity to drive by HQ for some Halloween fun. Prior to the event, employees planned and prepped to ensure the event would be a huge success. Every detail was well thought out and detailed in a way to ensure safety was a #1 priority. Alongside our amazing employees who helped to prep for the event, Danielle from @thepopoftheparty did a fantastic job with the balloons at HQ. Constructed from over 950 balloons, Danielle made a stunning display which flanked the entrance to HQ. Lindsey stood in the parking lot and was able to take pictures with each car that drove through. Mike from @michael.mcclain.photography took photographs of the event and made them accessible for attendees to download. Courtney from @crewandco knocked it out of the park, as always, with her hand-lettered signs which were displayed in the windows.

Prior to the event, customers who planned to attend Cutie Boo had to checkout with a reservation from the website. This was to ensure we had an accurate count for the goodies we were giving out along the way! As always, safety is a #1 priority at Ryan & Rose. Employees were required to wear a mask at all times and Cutie Boo attendees remained in their cars the entire time. At 2PM, attendees began to arrive at HQ and cars were checked into the event. Each car was given a scavenger hunt card and given instructions on accessing a contest sheet.

Remaining on the right side of the building, cars first saw Bret’s office with a riddle on the wall

RIDDLE: MY NAME COULD BE UNISEX, SOMETIMES I’M SOLD IN SETS. SQUISHY I MAY BE, BUT YES I’M BPA FREE. I MAY BE THIS, I MAY BE THAT, BUT DID YOU KNOW I WEAR A WOODEN HAT?

ANSWER: CHARLEY CUTIE CLIP

Continuing along that side, the next stop was Lindsey’s office; with Bonita on the computer hard at work. Displayed on Lindsey’s desk was an array of Cutie products. Additionally, she had a 2 new product sneak peeks! We showed our new Roper Cutie Clip and the new Cutie Koala {coming soon}. The interior was decorated with Cutie Lanyards, hanging like steamers, attached to numerous Cutie products. Outside of her window, attendees could guess how many Cutie PATs were in a container. Here, members of our Cutie Crew were greeting the cars!

Still remaining on that side of the building, The Target room also shared a sneak peek; November’s first LE color launch...BRICK

Around the corner, the next stop was a candy station. It wouldn’t be a Halloween celebration without candy! Customers were give Cutie PAT Kit bags which were filled with a selection of sweet treats. Driving past a back warehouse door, customers saw another November LE color sneak peek...SPRUCE

The next station was the Military Checkpoint. Attendees needed to answer Bret’s riddle, and show their Cutie Boo RSVP, in order to receive their Cutie swag! Alright, alright, we’re not that mean...they received it regardless, but hearing everyone’s guesses was priceless! The Cutie Swag Bag for confirmed RSVP's was filled with $127 worth of Cutie products! If a car drove through without a RSVP, they still left with some goodies!

Next up was the Cutie Crew corner. Team members from the local area, as well as members from out of town, were able to wave to the cars as they turned for their final stop. We are so grateful for everyone who was able to attend. Many drove from out of town and we were thrilled to have them with us! They were joined by some of their families, and Lindsey & Bret’s proud parents greeted everyone.

The last stop along the route was a picture with Lindsey, dressed as Anna from Frozen, in front of HQ. Wearing a mask, with attendees remaining in their cars, we had a local photographer take individual images for each car.

Included on the contest sheet, given upon entry, customers were also asked to answer some questions. Whoever was able to guess the right answer, or closest guest, received Cutie Cash to shop their favorite Cutie products!

QUESTION: HOW MANY BALLOONS WERE USED TO DECORATE HQ?

ANSWER: 970

QUESTION: HOW MANY BATS, SPIDERS, AND GHOSTS ARE THERE AROUND/ON CUTIE HQ?

ANSWER: 350

QUESTION: IF THERE ARE 375 BEADS IN THE SMALL CUP, HOW MANY BEADS ARE IN THE LARGE CONTAINER?

ANSWER: 15,478

QUESTION: IF THERE ARE 55 CUTIE PATS IN THE SMALL CONTAINER, HOW MANY CUTIE PATS ARE IN THE LARGE CONTAINER?

With the growth of Ryan & Rose, and the amazing space we’re now in, we hope to continue these traditions and hold additional events for our loyal customers. Customers drove from as far as 10+ hours away to attend the event. Cars from Michigan, Texas, and VA drove through; even a Cutie husband drove to TN so his wife could stay home with their newborn. We're beyond thankful for their love and support and we hope that they truly know how much we appreciate them. This event couldn’t have been possible without the amazing participation of our Cutie Community, Cutie Crew, and everyone’s families!
